Functional materials (semiconductors, superconductors, magnetic materials) have gained the greatest economic importance in the last 50-60 years. Only through the discovery, study and development of these materials has it been possible to develop such important areas as information and communication technologies. The role of these technologies is invaluable to today's society and will grow even more in the future
This event will bring together internationally recognized leaders in the field, scientists, and researchers, to share their knowledge and experience to students and young scientists.
Topics will include but will not be limited to:
1. Superconducting structures;
2. Semiconductor materials and devices;
3. Low-dimensional structures and quantum materials; 2D plasmonics and meta-surfaces;
4. Correlated systems and multi-particle effects; Physics of excitons in low dimensional semiconductors.
International School and Conference on Functional Materials for Modern Technologies is funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
